Brushanger, clothes hanger and clothes brush combo
Clothes hanger and clothes brush combo.
A clothes hanger and a clothes brush all in one piece. Why not? And the fact that it folds makes it easier to pack in a suitcase. The only argument one might have is that the brush itself seems a bit lo-tech. In the day and age of micro fibers and gels and whatnots surely something more effective could have been found? But if you replace the brush with a micro fiber pad? Designed by Tim Parsons it is available at the Thorsten van Elten web shop for GBP 29:00 (approx. USD 55:-) which unfortunately is too expensive for this to be a sellable idea, at least in our opinion. We'll wait for the Chinese to make one in plastic...

Miracle brush glove by Paolo Ulian for Italian Coop
Miracle brush glove.
The Italians call it a guanto toglipelucchi. If we have gotten it right, it's a clothes brush with the usual microfiber, but sewn like a glove. The glove is ambidextrous and can be worn on either hand (us southpaws are greatful for such consideration) and it also has markings to shoe you which way to brush. The practical hook at the end allows you to hang the thing in the closet for easy access. Design by Paolo Ulian. From Italian Coop. The page seems, (excuse our somewhat rusty Italian) to be a show of new designs, where viewers can vote on which product they want to see in the stores. The eleven best scoring are supposed to be produced and distributed throughout the Italian Coop chain of stores. Via Elmanco.

Pant hanger from Harriet Carter

Pants hanger.
Pretty smart. And new to us. We will probably have to order a few of these pants hangers for the closet. They look like they require a lot less space than ordinary hangers with a crossbar do. And you do not even have to take the hanger out to get the pants. Maybe you could even hang a pair of pants without taking the hanger out. According to the site, the hangers have a rubberized no slip surface to keep pants from slipping to the floor. USD 8:50 for 12 on the Harriet Carter web-shop.

A.Stain-eraser..B.Stain-eraser

C.Stain-eraser..D.Stain-eraser

Stain-eraser.
We will admit right from the start that we did not believe in this product. Not one bit. How could stains be erased (A)? But the thing was pretty cheap, and our sand colored shorts just got some stains in the butt (B), so we might as well give it a try. So we got the Fläck-suddare (literally Stain eraser) out and started working on the smaller stains in the top right of picture (B). And much to our surprise, the stain eraser delivered (C). As soon as the small stains were gone, we went to work on the whole area, and even though it did not get the stains out to a hundred percent (D), the results were good enough to save the day. And that is what we think this thing is; a day saver when you are traveling or just out of the house. It is small and practically weightless, so there will be no trouble bringing one. The Stain-eraser is made of melamine and apparently the fibers of the eraser are small enough to get into the grooves of the cloth and get the dirt out. It comes from Be:son Gross in Varberg. It was SEK 12:- (approx. USD 1:60 for a two pack at Gahm's near Hemse in Gotland.

Merino wool underwear from Howie's
Merino wool shorts.
Have they gone stark ravin'? Woolen underwear? The itch... No, we have not tried them (have you seen the price tag on these?), but we strongly suspect they would be the most comfortable shorts we have ever worn. We do love our merino wool socks, and these shorts are probably just as nice. Merino wool is cool when the weather is hot, and warm when it's cold, and besides they help wick moisture away from the body. Want some. From Howie's at GBP 35:- (about USD 65:-). Also available as long-johns for GBP 50:- (about USD 93:-). Cheap? You decide, but since a t-shirt is GBP 55:- (about USD 102:-) so... Via Cool Hunting.
