We found this on Strange New Products, and though they often seem to favor the odd and bizarre, we think this invention is worth a mention on Smart Stuff, too. The idea is that placing your pill on the little perforated shelf inside the cup should make it easier to swallow both pill and the aiding fluid. We do not know if this works IRL, but we can remember several occasions when we have dropped pills on the floor in trying to toss them into our mouth and quickly follow up with water. As we get more and more extra boxes for our TV:s, we encounter increasing difficulties in finding space for them. Most TV furniture have room for a video or a DVD and some films, but how many have room for a video and DVD and films? And what happens when we want to get the digital set top box in? For all of you who have your TV furniture packed, here is a possible solution. The TV shelf. Put it on top of the set and compensate for the slanting back with the adjustable Velcro'ed feet. Available with single or double shelves. The single is USD 15:-, the double USD 25:- at Miles Kimball. Right after we found the TV shelf we also found this version, as predictable as smart. The monitor shelf. Gives you a little extra space around the 'puter. Fits 13" TV's too, if you can live with it being white. USD 9:99 at Miles Kimball. 27 February 2006 Pre-packed detergent pads. We like the dishwasher drops from Yes (Fairy), so these detergent drops, Cot'n Wash Dropps, should fit out ticket just fine. We have not had the opportunity to try them, but we have seen them on several places around the 'net recently, and they seen to work in much the same way as the Yes (Fairy) drops. All you apparently have to do is put one of the little packets in with your washing and run the machine. Via Disabled Hands. 26 February 2006 Trash bag holder for the garden. This little contraption is called the Bag Stand, and it could simplify your gardening and weeding and other garden work that means leaves and weeds have to be collected. We suspect it could make an excellent collector for beer cans and other debris at the garden party, too. Handles bags up to 39 gallons (about 147 liters) and folds flat when not in use. USD 17:- including one bag at Whatever Works. 23 February 2006 Towel hanger without the sowing angst. We are not all meant to be tailors. Some of us are all needles when it comes to sowing, if you pardon the expression. Sometimes this has even been literally true, at least as far as our hands were concerned. For those occasions, this little snap on hanger could prove to be just the ticket. It is called Clip N Loop and it is just that. A loop with a clip to attach it to the corner of any towel. Instant hanger. And no bloodshed. Just push and hang.
