Trio Bike in real life at the Normann showroom. Our visit today to the new Normann showroom did not reveal any new and revolutionary gadgets, that we had not seen before; we have already posted on our favorite stuff, like the smart collapsible funnel and the equally smart collapsible colander. On the other hand they had the Trio Bike on display, and it alone was worth the trip to Østerbrogade 70. Read our previous post on the Trio Bike here. It has more details on this smart bike. The Trio Bike looks ready for buyers. The Trio Bike looked ready for customers, and apart from the bright idea of the triple function bike, (see our previous post) the built in LED lights in the handlebars was the feature that impressed us the most. Everyone was not impressed, however. This little guy was doing his thing oblivious of all the design goodies surrounding him... This little man was not impressed by the Normann design goodies. 4 August 2006 Grill with rotating coal tray. Today we're going up to the new Normann Copenhagen showroom and design exhibition on Østerbrogade. We'll see if they have any new and smart stuff. Or maybe just cool. And if they have any smart stuff from other people in the exhibit. Meanwhile we offer you this new grill; the Roto-Que. It has a rotating coals tray, that is supposed to help give the food an even grilling. How this works, electrical or mechanical, they do not say. More on Absolutely New. 3 August 2006 Going to Copenhagen. Just a quick post while we are waiting to board the plane to Copenhagen. We are going there to see the summer exhibition of the works of Danish designer Poul Kjærholm at the Louisiana art museum We are also going to check out the new Normann Copenhagen showroom and see what's on at the Dansk Designcenter. Reports will follow both here on Smart Stuff and on Cool Finds, where we post the design news. We're staying at the new Hotel Fox, where every room has been designed by different young designers. Very different. Check it out! 2 August 2006 The Solo lift. From the website: "The Solo Lift enables you to lift and carry a box with one hand! No preparation of the box is needed.
